North Charleston minister arrested

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A minister has been arrested on charges of forgery and bank fraud. He is also accused of practicing law without a license.
David L. Mitchell, 63, was arrested on Tuesday night. He is listed online as the chief apostle and founder of Refreshing Springs Christian Fellowship in North Charleston.
Allegations against Mitchell date back to June 2010 when he was accused of forging three checks and bank fraud.
On March 11, detectives were put in contact with the public defender's office.
According to an incident report, a suspect in a recent case said Mitchell provided him legal advice -- $300 worth.
