Utah Pastor Gets Prison For Child Rape

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A 38-year-old former Utah pastor who also performed as the rapper Pastor Soulja has been sentenced to five years to life in prison after admitting a sexual relationship with a teenage girl in his congregation.
Second District Court Judge Ernest Jones in Ogden also ordered Aaron Witcher to pay $4,150 in restitution and future therapy costs for the girl.
Witcher pleaded guilty in January to two rape charges for having sex with a 15-year-old girl he met while working as the youth ministries leader at the Genesis Project in Ogden. Six counts were dismissed.
KSL-TV reports that a statement from the girl's father read in court Wednesday accused Witcher of mocking and betraying God and victimizing a young and vulnerable girl.
